What Project Out Of School Children Does

Project Out-of-School Children addresses the out of school population of children in the Commonwealth Nations with a special focus on India. Project OOSC works on the belief that no out of school child is left behind and each gets a fair chance at learning.

Project OOSC is an innovative solution that uses recycled shipping containers to establish a quality school in educational infrastructure and learning. The Container School is an ultra-affordable model ensuring an expeditious assembly of a school.

Project OOSC is a movement in education aimed at transforming the community architecture in the Commonwealth Nations by building affordable container schools. Our goal is to enroll, educate and empower each out of school child by ensuring access to schools and quality education.

A Note From Our Founder – Amreesh Chandra

I represent a privileged community of school-going children who completed school and went to Universities for higher education. I was further privileged enough to send my two daughters to school.Today, I appeal, write and work on behalf of those children who never went to a school or were drop-outs.I respect the very large community of out of school children and work for the 17.7 million across the Commonwealth Nations, with a focus on India.

Amreesh Chandra, the founder of Project OOSC, multi-award winning educationalist, and a visionary with enormous experience in education, offers an innovative concept of ‘Container Schooling’. He firmly believes that if society is to be reformed, education has to reach everyone high and low, because individuals are the very constituents of society.

He drives the force of change, a crucial mission aimed at uplifting and improving children’s access to schools in the Commonwealth Nations with a focus on India.

Who Are Out of School Children
