EMPOWER

Meena Devi

Meena’s husband works overseas as a labourer. She has two young children. Seasonal field work was available but Meena being pregnant last year did not take on heavy labour. She was dependent on whatever meager portion was offered to her.

Project OOSC has given her dignity of labour. She is working as an assistant teacher and is financially independent now. Her toddler is the pride of our center.

Kumari Karishma

Karishma was another victim of unemployment and was in depression for almost six months and refused to partake in social events. She has taken over the responsibility of the Project OOSC kitchen and is financially independent. She now plays an important role in managing the budget of her household.

Khushboo Gautam

Khushboo's aspiration is to get a Government Job. She is hard working girl and has been supporting her family. Her erstwhile employment asked of her spending long hours at work and she would not get time to prepare for entrance examinations. Also, her pay was barely sufficient to manage her Responsibilities and Ambitions. Khushboo has joined us as the main teacher at the Centre.

Project OOSC has given her an opportunity to earn better and she gets ample time to study for the entrance examinations. She is in the driver seat at the center.
